Demolition
Clean, controlled teardown so the rebuild starts on solid ground.
Overview
Controlled teardown, before anything gets rebuilt
Demolition is the first stage of the proper way to build. Done carelessly it damages what you meant to keep, hides problems you needed to see, and pushes every trade behind it off schedule.
We take structures apart in the order they were built, protect what stays, and keep the site clean enough to work in the next morning. On a remodel that means separating what is structural from what is finish, and flagging anything we uncover before it becomes a change order in week six.
Because the same crew handles the framing that follows, we tear out with the rebuild already in mind. Nothing gets removed that the next stage was going to need.
Scope
What is in, and what is not
- Interior strip out down to studs where required
- Selective structural demolition, walls and openings
- Removal of decks, porches and carports
- Protection of surfaces and finishes that stay
- Debris haul off and daily site clean up
- Temporary shoring where a load path is opened
Not included
- Asbestos or lead abatement, which needs a licensed specialist
- Utility disconnection, which the utility or a licensed trade must do
- Full structure demolition requiring heavy equipment permits
We would rather tell you now than hand you a change order later. If you need any of these, we can point you to the right trade.
How we run it
The order the work happens in
-
01
Walk the space with you
We agree on paper what comes out and what stays, before a single wall is opened.
-
02
Protect and isolate
Floors, finishes and adjacent rooms get covered so the dust stays in one place.
-
03
Take it apart in order
Finish first, then non structural, then structural with shoring in place.
-
04
Hand over a clean slab
Debris out, site swept, and anything we found documented before framing starts.
On older Metro Atlanta homes we open a small inspection area first. It is cheaper to find a rotted sill or an undersized header on day one than on day thirty.

FAQ
Questions we get on this one
If yours is not here, call and we will answer it the same way.
(678) 588-5032We tell you what your jurisdiction requires and work to it. Whether we pull the permit or your general contractor does depends on how the job is contracted.
It depends on square footage and how much is structural. We give you a day count in the written scope, not a guess on the phone.
Yes. Most clients keep us through framing because it is one crew, but demolition on its own is a job we take.
