A 50 by 30 foot detached garage in Senoia, framed in a single day. The customer was, in his words, thrilled.
A detached structure this size is a good test of whether a crew is organised. There is no existing building to hide behind and no other trade to blame for the pace.
The challenge
Doing it in a day without doing it badly. Speed on a framing job usually costs you square, and square is the thing a garage door will not forgive.
How we ran it
Everything cut and staged before the walls went up, so the day was assembly rather than problem solving. Walls stood, plumbed and braced, roof structure set, all inside one working day.
