Overview
Project overview
A cedar porch and carport in Virginia-Highland, framed, roofed and finished.
In an established intramural neighbourhood the new structure has to look like it belongs, not like an addition someone bolted on.
The challenge
Matching an older house without copying it, and doing it in cedar, where every joint is visible.
How we ran it
Cedar detailed for appearance, with the roof line tied into the existing house so the addition reads as original rather than attached.
